Agave Wheat

B- / 3.0
Breckenridge Agave Wheat

This true American-style unfiltered wheat has something a little special – the nectar of the great Salmiana Agave. Agave complements the refreshingly light quality of our wheat and adds a subtle note of flavor that expands this beer’s uplifting taste profile. It is familiar, yet creative.

Beer Style: American Unfiltered Wheat Ale with Agave
Flavor: Light, refreshing, yet interesting
Yeast: American Wheat
Malts: Pale, White Wheat, Torrified Wheat, Carapils, Caramel, Munich
Hops: Fuggle, Cascade, Willamette
Color: Golden Opaque

Appearance – Murky (after all, it is unfiltered) gold, with no head.

Smell – Classic sour wheat malt with hints of sweet fruit.

Taste – Lightly roasted malt with a little tang. Hints of citrus offset the doughy malt.

Mouthfeel – Light bodied and flat.

Drinkability – I’ve had worse beer, but it’s not something I’ll drink again. I was a little disappointed because I really like most of the Breckenridge beers I’ve had.
