Breckenridge 471 IPA (Small Batch)

Breckenridge 471 IPA (Small Batch)

According to Breckinridge:

Hoppy? Brother, 471 IPA redefines hoppy. 471 is a small batch, limited edition ale that was created by our Brewmaster to separate the weak from the strong. 471 is a double IPA, that combines Pale, Munich, Caramel-30, Carapils and Torrified Wheat malts, with Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe and Fuggles hops. It has a big sweet mouthfeel, followed by more hoppiness than you’ve ever had at one time. Enjoy.

Appearance – Pours a slightly hazy yellow-orange, with dense white head that doesn’t dissipate.

Smell – Tons of grapefruit and pine from the hops. Light hints of sweet malt.

Taste – The grapefruit and pine hit you right away, balance with a small bit of sweet hops. The finish is a bitter grapefruit, like grapefruit peel.

Mouthfeel – Light and refreshing, good carbonation, a little shock from the bitterness.

Drinkability – I love this beer. It’s a very clean, refreshing, tasty IPA. I would like to have a little more carbonation, but the flavor is really good.
