A / 4.6

F5 is simply an IPA lovers dream. The mild malt body and hop-forward bouquet of Amarillo and Simcoe hop additions impart citrus, grapefruit and pine notes characteristic of the West Coast style. F5 is truly a force to be reckoned with.

A / 4.6

Appearance – Pours a slightly hazy amber color with half a finger of white head that persists and leaves behind plenty of lacing.

Smell – Clean and refreshing but not as strong as I expected.  Definite notes of pine and grapefruit with some underlying biscuit dough.

Taste – Pine and citrus galore up front, a little light toasted malt in the middle, and then plenty of the bitterness coming through at the end and sticking with you.

Mouthfeel – Medium bodied and extremely refreshing.  Very drinkable.

Drinkability – Definitely liked this one.  After moving out to Oklahoma from Phoenix, and before that San Diego, I really missed a good local IPA.  F5 is now that IPA.
