Sawtooth Ale

A- / 4.1
Left Hand Sawtooth Ale

A properly balanced beer that begs to be served on cask. Floral at the start, with baked fruit in the middle and a persistent but restrained bitterness.

Appearance – Pours a clear pale orange, almost no head (what little there is is white), and leaves almost no lace.

Smell – Floral/Earthy hops and malt with a hint of citrus. Not an exceptionally strong smell.

Taste – A smooth malt, followed by the floral hops. Give it a little time on your palate and you’ll get a bitter citrus taste, almost like the pith of an orange.

Mouthfeel – Very light with medium carbonation, quite refreshing.

Drinkability – If you drink this too fast you’ll completely miss the best part, which is the bitter citrus that hits a little late. Not a great beer if you’re really thirsty, but if you just want to kick back and enjoy a light, refreshing, and fairly bitter beer, this is it.
