Titan IPA

A- / 4.2
Titan IPA

Titan IPA is a big, aggressively hopped India Pale Ale brewed for hop disciples. It starts out with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavors, and finishes with a nice rich, malty sweetness that is balanced with crisp hop bitterness.

Appearance – Pours a copper color with good clarity, the foamy off-white head has very good retention and leaves thick lacing.

Smell – Lots of pine with distinct floral and citrus notes. The malt is definitely there bringing with it a hint of alcohol.

Taste – Lots of hops right up front. Not very bitter at first, getting more of the floral and pine hops which are balanced by some sweetness from the malt. At the middle you get a bit of the alcohol, but it doesn’t last long. The bitterness hits a lot harder toward the end, where you get more of a pine and citrus flavor.

Mouthfeel – Medium bodied and if you let it sit for long the bitterness definitely gives it some bite.

Drinkability – If you like hoppy beers, this is a must-try. The hops didn’t give quite the complexity that I would have liked, but all in all a very good beer.
